The price of diesel remained essentially flat the past week, dipping one-tenth of a cent to $2.427 a gallon, the Energy Information Administration reported Aug. 17.

The average price of diesel increased for the first time in four weeks, inching up four-tenths of a cent nationally to $2.428 per gallon on Aug. 10, according to the Energy Information Administration’s weekly report.

Diesel fell for the third consecutive week, by three-tenths of a cent to $2.424 a gallon.
