Business analysis company IHS Inc. said it will acquire automotive data firm R.L. Polk & Co. for $1.4 billion.

Suddath Global Logistics, based in Jacksonville, Fla., said it has acquired third-party logistics company PenserSC. Terms were not disclosed.
