Michelle Randazzo will become Daimler Truck North America chief financial officer starting Jan. 1, the parent company of Class 8 truck brands Freightliner and Western Star said Dec. 10.

Randazzo will replace . Kurschner, who plans to retire, will remain with DTNA through January, the truck and bus maker said.

“Michelle demonstrates exceptional energy, determination and a strong capability to drive meaningful transformation,” said Eva Scherer, CFO of DTNA parent company Daimler Truck.



“Her established leadership and comprehensive knowledge of our industry give me full confidence that she will deliver significant impact in her new role and help advance our North American business,” she added.

Randazzo joined Daimler Truck in 2002 as a senior financial analyst at Thomas Built Buses.

Most recently, Randazzo was head of controlling, specialty vehicles and aftermarket for DTNA and based in Daimler Truck’s headquarters in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany. She had held the same position in the U.S. since October 2021. Previous DTNA roles include director of corporate financial planning and reporting.

I’m confident Michelle will play a pivotal role in strengthening our position as an industry leader as she joins our operating committee.”

Randazzo will oversee all operational and strategic controlling and accounting functions for DTNA’s brands: Freightliner, Western Star, Thomas Built Buses, Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp., Detroit Reman and Daimler Vehículos Comerciales México.

Kurschner took the role of CFO in June 2021 after running DTNA’s aftermarket operations for nearly four years. Before that role, Kurschner ran Daimler Trucks Mexico and, before that, Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing. He joined what would become DTNA in July 2009, according to his LinkedIn profile.

“We are deeply grateful to Stefan for his decades of leadership and contributions across continents and functions,” O’Leary said. “His impact on our organization and culture has been profound, and we wish him the very best in his retirement.”
