Autonomous trucking startup Bot Auto announced that it intends to begin its first driver-out commercial freight operations this year with a pilot program in Texas.

LAS VEGAS — After many years of development work, autonomous trucks are now on the cusp of commercial driverless operations on highways, in logistics yards and on private sites.

Aurora Innovation Inc. challenged a FMCSA decision to deny the company an exemption to a rule which requires hazard warnings to be placed on the road, even for self-driving trucks.
