I believe there are a lot of carriers engaged in 鈥渟port trucking鈥 as described in the story 鈥淧ace of Fleet Failures Slows as Banks Delay Foreclosures.鈥 Trucking companies that 鈥渁ren鈥檛 doing it for a profit鈥 will hurt only themselves in the end and make it bad for the rest of the industry 鈥 both shippers and carriers.
