WASHINGTON — After Volvo Trucks North America’s best year for deliveries and market share in 2015, plans are under way to focus on the flatbed, tank truck and heavy-haul sectors to offset an industrywide sales slowdown, a strategy its president said could start to bear fruit in the second half of this year.

WASHINGTON — Volvo Trucks North America had its best year for deliveries and market share in 2015, and although industrywide sales are expected to decline this year, the company’s president said he wants to increase market share by boosting sales to flatbed, tank truck and heavyhaul carriers. 

Volvo Trucks North America announced that it now offers a battery-powered parking cooler as a factory-installed option on its VNM 630, VNL 630, VNL 670, VNL 730 and VNL 780 sleeper models.
