Daimler Trucks North America is recalling 863 newer Freightliner trucks using certain Goodyear tires, whose tread may have cured improperly, raising the risk of vehicle damage or crash due to partial tread separation.

Daimler Trucks North America and Wabash National Corp. have issued voluntary recalls, respectively, on about 1,160 Freightliner and Western Star trucks and 2,400 converter dolly trailers, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website safercar.gov reported.

Navistar International Corp. is recalling 3,952 ProStar trucks from model years 2014 to 2017 for a defect affecting power to the cab. The medium- and heavy-duty trucks were manufactured between June 11, 2013, and May 19, 2016.

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems is recalling approximately 200,000 SR-5 brand spring brake valves manufactured between Jan. 1, 2014, and March 4, 2016, because of a defect that could affect parking the tractor-trailer. The recall affects only brakes on trailers, not on tractors, according to Bendix.

Volvo Trucks North America is recalling 129 of its 2013 models in the United States because the steer axles may have been incorrectly heat treated.

Stoughton Trailers is recalling more than 1,200 trailers made between Oct. 1 and Dec. 18, 2013, because of a problem with the pivot bolts in the suspension system, according to documents from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Daimler Trucks North America announced that it will voluntarily recall nearly 9,000 model year 2015-2016 Freightliner Cascadia trucks manufactured from March 24, 2014, through November 9, 2015, over the possibility of an overheated connection on Bergstrom Parksmart HVAC auxiliary units.

Volvo Trucks North America has begun distributing interim repair information to address the recall of 15,835 of its 2016 and 2017 models in the United States for a steering shaft defect that has prompted both the manufacturer and the U.S. government to urge that the units be taken out of service immediately.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said it is recalling about 1.73 million trucks for defects, including a wiring harness that may short-circuit and set off an air bag.
