Profit and revenue at Old Dominion Freight Line fell in the second quarter, but senior executives said clarity is growing on how the ongoing freight recession might start to see an upturn.

Profit at Old Dominion Freight Line fell in the first quarter of 2025 and executives say growing optimism for upcoming quarters has been squelched by macroeconomic uncertainty.
