Heavy-duty vehicle parts manufacturer Eaton Corp. said Monday its third-quarter net earnings rose 4%, though the company lowered its full-year profit forecast.

Heavy-duty component maker ArvinMeritor said fiscal fourth-quarter earnings may be less than previously forecast by as much as 40 cents a share because of a sluggish economy and charges related to suppliers, Bloomberg reported.

Logistics and delivery firm Dynamex Inc. said late Wednesday its fiscal fourth-quarter profit rose to $4.1 million or 38 cents a share, from $3.3 million or 31 cents a year earlier.

Transportation and third-party logistics firm Pacer International on Wednesday said its second-quarter net income fell 13.8% to $12.5 million or 34 cents a share, from $14.5 million or 38 cents a year ago.

Air cargo company Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings said Wednesday it earned $43.2 million or $2.01 a share in the second quarter, up from $10.7 million or 51 cents a year ago.

Wright Express, which provides payment processing and information management services to the trucking industry, reported Tuesday it earned $18.3 million, or 45 cents a share in the second quarter, compared with $9.9 million or 24 cents in 2006.
