TruStar Energy Opens CNG Station Along I-75 in Florida
TruStar Energy has opened a company-owned public compressed natural gas fueling station in Fort Myers, Florida, as a midpoint between Tampa and Fort Lauderdale for fleets traveling the Interstate 75 corridor.
The stationÌýhas four traffic lanes and two dual-hose fast-fill fueling pumps, and is able to dispense 11.6 GGE (gasoline gallon equivalent) per minute of fuel, the White Plains, NewÌýYork,Ìýcompany said. The station accepts commercial fuel cards such as Comdata or Fuelman, as well as all major credit cards.
“Florida already has a high volume of CNG vehicles on the road today, and even with low diesel prices, we continue to see more fleets switching to CNG from diesel,"ÌýTruStar Energy President Adam Comora said in a statement. "CNG is cleaner, domestically produced and abundant, and resistant to price volatility."
