Wex is teaming up with Trucker Path to give Wex Electronic Funds Source customers discounted access to a truck-safe navigation app designed to make fleet operations safer and more efficient.
The collaboration will extend Trucker Path for Fleets to Wex customers who use EFS fuel and payment solutions for over-the-road operations. The app, widely adopted by truck drivers across North America, helps avoid hazards, plan routes and access real-time information on parking, weather and road conditions.
“Trucker Path for Fleets adds an important capability for our over-the-road customers,” said Timothy Hampton, senior vice president and general manager of over-the-road at Wex. “Its trusted navigation technology helps drivers avoid hazards and reach destinations more efficiently. This is the beginning of a shared commitment to simplify fleet operations and make life on the road safer for truckers.”
Trucker Path counts more than 1 million active users each month, and its platform is designed specifically for the realities of longhaul trucking. Features include truck-friendly routing, parking availability and updates on weigh station statuses, traffic and construction.
The agreement offers Wex customers a preferred rate, giving fleets access to tools that can reduce costs and improve productivity. Executives from both companies said the deal reflects broader industry demand for digital solutions that streamline operations and support drivers.
“The alliance between Trucker Path and Wex expands access to tools that benefit both drivers and the fleets they drive for,” said Chris Oliver, chief marketing officer of Trucker Path. “Wex customers will enjoy the same navigation advantages trusted by our community, plus added features for fleet operations — all at a greatly reduced cost. This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to introduce even more services in the near future.”
The companies said the partnership marks the start of a longer-term effort to deliver new services to fleets, with safety and efficiency at the center of their joint approach.
