Morgan Truck Body announced a new electrified refrigerated concept truck body.

Mounted on a Lion Electric Lion6 chassis and using a Thermo King all-electric refrigerated unit, the 24-foot truck body is constructed with state-of-the-art materials that are designed to maximize thermal efficiency and lighten the load, and includes a full complement of situational awareness sensors, according to the Morgantown, Pa.-based company.

The all-electric transport refrigeration unit used in Morgan鈥檚 concept vehicle is Thermo King鈥檚 recently introduced e1000 unit. It is integrated with Lion Electric鈥檚 vehicle systems and powered by the vehicle鈥檚 onboard batteries, which use Lion鈥檚 proprietary battery thermal management systems to maximize efficiency.
