California’s Superior Court on Oct. 16 overturned a CARB regulation that required all trucks with 1993-98 model-year engines operating in the state to be reprogrammed to include more stringent emission controls.
On Feb. 23, a state court issued a decision supporting the board’s designation of diesel-particulate matter as a toxic air contaminant — despite a lawsuit brought by American Trucking Associations and other industry groups seeking to overturn the designation.
