ARLINGTON, Va. — Hundreds of thousands of volunteers put on rain gear and bundled up at Arlington National Cemetery and 2,140 other locations in the United States and two cemeteries in Europe on Dec. 14, placing wreaths on the graves of our nation’s fallen military heroes.

ARLINGTON, Va. — With the help of ATA Share the Road drivers and thousands of volunteers, more than 250,000 wreaths were delivered and laid on headstones the morning of Dec. 15 at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. See photos.

American Trucking Associations and ATA’s Share the Road Highway Safety Program celebrated the arrival of the Wreaths Across America convoy at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., Dec. 16.

Neither rain nor snow nor sleet would keep professional truck drivers Ralph Garcia and Nate McCarty of ABF Freight from completing their appointed rounds on Dec. 17, and that meant delivering wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia, in their Share the Road truck.

Without volunteer truck drivers and their companies, Wreaths Across America's mission to “remember, honor, teach” and place wreaths on gravestones of fallen veterans each December would be impossible to accomplish.

American Trucking Associations' Share the Road truck participated for the ninth straight year, delivering a shipment of handmade wreaths, as hundreds of volunteers laid more than 200,000 wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery Dec. 13. See photos.
