Less-than-truckload earnings season began on a positive note with growth in shipments and revenue growth compared with the lackluster year-over-year results in the truckload sector.

Saia Inc. has signed a deal to partner with TST Overland Express to provide cross-border less-than-truckload service between the United States and Canada, effective May 22.

Two publicly traded less-than-truckload carriers reported higher year-over-year results for the first two months of 2017 in terms of shipments and revenue.
