The heads of the Department of Transportation and Environmental Protection Agency signed final rules Thursday requiring 2016 model-year vehicles to meet fuel efficiency targets of 35.5 miles per gallon combined for cars and light trucks.

ATA, Others Urge Action on Vehicle Technology Bill
American Trucking Associations and other business groups are urging the Senate to move forward with a bill that would create a research program to increase fuel efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from heavy- and medium-duty trucks.
