YRC Rebrands Unit as YRC Freight
Moves Aligns Focus on Core LTL Business
YRC Worldwide on Wednesday unveiled its rebranded unit YRC Freight, formerly YRC Inc.
The less-than-truckload carrier introduced the new brand to employees late last month and said it was rolling out a new logo, uniforms, equipment and signage across North America.
鈥淢oving freight is our heritage, what we do best and the key to our future,鈥 said Jeff Rogers, president of YRC Freight.
鈥淲e鈥檙e in the freight business 鈥 that鈥檚 what we do,鈥 YRC Worldwide CEO James Welch told Transport Topics during an interview Wednesday in Arlington, Va.
鈥淔or the foreseeable future, our business is based on being the best LTL we can be,鈥 he said.
YRC Worldwide is ranked No. 4 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
