Workhorse Provides Brinks With Class 5 Electrified Trucks
Workhorse Group Inc., a technology company focused on providing electric mobility solutions to the transportation sector, announced that The Brinks Co., a cash management services firm, has purchased two Workhorse Class 5 E-GEN and E-100 chassis, paired with a Brinks custom logistics body.
The E-100 all-electric truck and the E-GEN electric extended-range truck will be deployed in California and Chicago, the Cincinnati-based company said.
鈥淲e are delighted to be working with Brinks on a fleet electrification plan,鈥 Workhorse CEO Steve Burns said in a statement.
The E-100 all-electric, zero emission truck achieves the equivalent of 37.5 mpg with an average range of 100 miles on a single charge depending on duty cycle, according to the company. Workhorse鈥檚 E-GEN battery-electric extended range step van achieves 30 mpg with an average range of 60 miles all-electric plus an additional 60 miles using BMW鈥檚 gasoline engine. Both vehicles utilize Panasonic Li-Ion battery packs.
