Truckload carrier USA Truck Inc. has named Thomas Glaser as interim chief operating officer for an initial term of three months, effective Jan. 1, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company also announced in a Dec. 26 SEC filing that its CFO, Darron Ming, has been terminated, effective immediately.

Glaser was CEO of Arnold Transportation Services Inc., a subsidiary of U.S. Xpress Enterprises Inc., and also was COO of Celadon Group.

In November, USA Truck reported a loss of $6.1 million.

USA Truck ranks No. 49 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
