TransCore, a provider of radio-frequency identification devices, introduced a new transponder that is compatible with multiple electronic toll-collection systems.

The eZGo transponder will work on more than 95% of all tolled lanes in North America, the company said.

“With the eZGo Anywhere multiprotocol tag, toll authorities can now offer interstate drivers, both commercial and private, the ability to easily pass through toll gates without needing to carry a bag full of tags,” said John Simler, who is the president of Trans-Core’s Intelligent Transportation Systems Group.
