Review of UPS’ Acquisition of TNT Extended Into November
UPS Inc. said Tuesday that European antitrust review of its planned $6 billion-plus acquisition of Dutch package firm TNT Express will extend by two months, into early November.
from an originally targeted closing date of Aug. 31.
The review extension will be until Nov. 9, UPS said in a statement, adding that it will formally confirm the extension of its offer period on Sept. 5.
UPS, which originally announced the deal in March, is ranked No. 1 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
