The National Transportation Safety Board says part of the truck parking problem is that when all the usual spaces are filled, drivers do not know where to go after a day on the road.
The board wants industry trade groups and the government to work on a guide to truck parking that would be distributed for free, but some in the industry say big rig drivers have enough ways of locating a rest area or truck stop.
