Marten Transport said Wednesday its second-quarter income rose slightly from a year ago.
      	  			                
Net income rose to $7.7 million from $7.6 million, while per-share earnings held at 23 cents.
      	  			                
Revenue from its truckload and logistics operations rose 2.8% to $161.4 million, the truckload carrier reported.
      	  			                
Truckload, intermodal and broker loads were up 13.2% in the second quarter, Chairman and CEO Randolph Marten said in a statement.
      	    
Marten Transport is ranked No. 41 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
