A federal district judge in Los Angeles has delayed until Feb. 2 a trial on a lawsuit filed by American Trucking Associations for a permanent injunction to block all of the concessions requirements in the clean air plans of the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, Calif.

In a related development, ATA filed a brief earlier this month with an appeals court requesting the court require U.S. District Judge Christina Snyder to issue a temporary injunction banning all the concession provisions of ports’ plans.

In April, the appeals court reversed a ruling by Snyder, saying many of the business requirements of the plans were unconstitutional.

But Snyder’s subsequent temporary injunction did not go far enough, ATA argued.
