Hub Group’s Second-Quarter Profit Rises
Hub Group Inc. said its second-quarter net income increased to $18.7 million, or 51 cents a share, from $18.6 million, or 50 cents, in the comparable period last year. Revenue rose 7% to $894 million.
Its Hub segment’s revenue rose 6% to $682 million, with intermodal revenue up 1% to $456 million.
Truck brokerage revenue increased 6% to $86 million, and its Unyson Logistics unit’s revenue jumped 24% to $140 million.
Hub Group ranks No. 8 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers and No. 29 on the TT Logistics Top 50 list of North American logistics firms.
