鈥淭his acquisition is a pivotal moment in our growth as we transform the way fleets manage compliance and safety,鈥 said Mike Precia, Fleetworthy chief strategy officer. 鈥淗aul鈥檚 platform brings powerful automation, actionable insights and intuitive user experiences that align perfectly with our vision of delivering the best fleet technology.鈥

鈥淲e want to see that a vendor is as serious as we are about compliance, and they checked that box,鈥 Precia told Transport Topics in an interview.

Haul鈥檚 co-founders 鈥擳im Henry and Toan Nguyen Le 鈥 will join Fleetworthy鈥檚 leadership team in supporting company strategy and product innovation.

The founders met while working at Uber Freight in the Bay Area as 鈥渨ater cooler buddies,鈥 as the company鈥檚 services were being expanded beyond ride sharing, Henry said. Haul now has 10 employees.

鈥淲e鈥檙e a pretty lean and mean software company,鈥 he told TT.

That said, Henry noted that Haul set a standard of meeting the high expectations of its customers, which he said included some of the nation鈥檚 largest fleets. That meant adding scale.

鈥淭oan and I do like scale,鈥 he said. 鈥淭oan and I had scale when we were at Uber Freight, and we鈥檙e excited to have scale at Fleetworthy.鈥

Specifically, he noted with the Fleetworthy deal Haul can, 鈥渂ring a product to every fleet, especially fleets with less than 10 power units.鈥

The companies, said Precia, were 鈥渁 perfect match in regards of advances in the technology side that they have made and the ecosystem that we have made. We feel we will do some great things together.鈥

He noted Haul had already done a lot of the work in developing and deploying artificial intelligence tools that Fleetworthy had on its agenda. 鈥淭his expedites our mission in terms of serving our customers,鈥 Precia said.

鈥淭his move helps us to serve a broader range of customers and offer solutions that leverage the latest technologies to help fleets of all sizes more efficiently manage safety and compliance,鈥 added Shay Demmons, chief product officer of Fleetworthy.

The acquisition of Haul is the latest expansion of the services offered by Fleetworthy, which traces its roots to toll management and payment platform provider Bestpass. That company acquired what was then known as Fleetworthy Solutions in November 2023. The combined companies rebranded as Fleetworthy in September 2024.

The combined entity bought telematics and safety technology provider and public-private weigh station network operator Drivewyze in August 2024. That December, Fleetworthy bought commercial vehicle parking violation management and resolution software provider Empire Commercial Services.
