East Announces Truck-Lite 99 Series Wiring Harness Standard on Flatbeds
Trailer maker East Manufacturing Corp. announced the Truck-Lite 99 Series wiring harness will be standard on all new East BST, BST II, MMX and narrow-neck flatbed trailers, starting Feb. 1.
“We are excited to equip our flatbed trailers with the new 99 Series harness,” Dave de Poincy, president of East, said in a statement. “Truck-Lite’s attention to connection and corrosion issues will provide our customers with a more reliable and secure connection, which coincides with our mission to provide reliable trailer products for our customers.”
The Truck-Lite 99 Series has been designed as a closed system by integrating a molded plug with two sealing surfaces, rather than just one. This new two-seal plug keeps moisture and debris out of the plug, guarding against corrosion, according to Randolph, Ohio-based East.
East manufactures aluminum platform, dump and refuse trailers and steel dump trailers and dump bodies for the commercial vehicle, construction, agricultural and refuse markets.
