Congressman Just Says No To Proposed Hours Rules
On May 19, the Nebraska congressman introduced a bill that would prohibit the Department of Transportation and its Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration from taking action to “finalize, implement or enforce” the regulations unveiled April 25.
The Republican lawmaker’s bill, co-sponsored by three other party members, has been referred to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. The panel that handles transportation issues is chaired by fellow Republican Bud Shuster of Pennsylvania.
