ATA Names New VP of Legislative Affairs
American Trucking Associations said it has hired Caroline Decker as its new vice president of legislative affairs.
Decker comes to ATA after more than eight years of handling government affairs issues for Amtrak. Prior to that, she was a senior aide to former Rep. Bob Clement (D-Tenn.) and represented the Tennessee Valley Authority.
鈥淔rom my earliest experiences in Washington, I鈥檝e seen how well-thought of the trucking industry and ATA is, and I鈥檓 excited to become part of that,鈥 Decker said in a statement released Wednesday.
鈥淲ith nearly 20 years of experience working on Capitol Hill as a staffer and representing the transportation interests, Caroline brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to ATA,鈥 said Mary Phillips, ATA鈥檚 senior vice president of legislative affairs.
