HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. — More than 100 dealers of used commercial trucks and members of related businesses attended the first-ever convention of the Used Truck Association, held Oct. 26-28 at the Mission Inn.
“To have this kind of attendance — and this is not a cheap convention — in this kind of year is great,” said Steve “Bear” Nadolson, who has been president of the group for more than three years.
The year, with its unprecedented glut of used trucks on the market, driving down prices, has not been kind to dealers of heavy trucks, new or used.
Nadolson said he has a mission. He has vowed to take a virtually moribund organization, the Used Truck Association, and turn it into a group that can help dealers become more professional, solve common problems and find their way through hard times.
