A Wal-Mart truck driver pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to charges of death by autoÌýand assault in the New Jersey Turnpike crash that killed one man and injured three others, includingÌýcomedian and actor Tracy Morgan.
Kevin Roper, 35, wasÌýarraigned in Middlesex County, thenÌýreleased on $50,000 bail.
The tragedy brought greater visibility to the truck driving industry's hours-of-service rules, which would be suspended in part for further study under a bill to be considered by the Senate next week.
