Volvo Trucks said Wednesday it is again sponsoring the Volvo Trucks Safety Award, a contest that will award the two safest fleets in the U.S. and Canada with $25,000 each, to be used toward their safety-related activities.

The fifth-annual award, sponsored along withÌý, in conjunction with Michelin Americas Truck Tires,Ìýwill be presentedÌýat American Trucking Associations’ Management Conference & Exhibition in Orlando, Fla.,Ìýin October.

The contest is open to all U.S. and Canadian fleets operating at least five Class 8 trucks, with at least one Volvo tractor in operation.

The prize will be awarded to the fleets with the best safety record in two divisions, based on annual miles traveled, one for fewer thanÌý20 million miles traveled and oneÌýfor those with over 20 million miles traveled.
