Mulero is the author of Capitol Agenda, a weekly online column that spotlights the week ahead for trucking on Capitol Hill. (See archived columns at .) One of the weekly features is "Infrastructure Meter," aÌýsubjective week-by-week look at how close we are to long-term infrastructure funding. The most recent column, Feb. 11, saw the needle inch up to 25% following a House hearing on Feb. 7 that sparked optimism about movement in Congress.
A similar hearing this week before the Senate Commerce Committee included witness testimony from American Trucking Associations President Chris Spear, who said,Ìý“We’re no longer facing a future of highway maintenance crisis. We’re living in it."
