Report: Connecticut's Michael Riley to Retire

Michael Riley, the longtime president of the Motor Transport Association of Connecticut, said he plans to retire at the end of the year, the Manchester, Connecticut-based .

Riley, a former state Senate clerk, functionary in the governor鈥檚 budget office and congressional aide, has been president of the state association for 29 years.

鈥淚 was hired just after my 40th birthday, and I鈥檒l leave just after my 69th,鈥 Riley told the newspaper. 鈥淚鈥檇 like to do some things, and I might continue to lobby a little bit, since I鈥檓 not going back to meat-cutting.鈥
