Bulk and tanker carrier Quality Distribution Inc., Jacksonville, Fla., said it purchased an insurance policy to cover all accident liability claims between $2 million and $5 million.

Previously, the company was responsible for the first $5 million of any auto liability claim, Quality said late last month.

The initial term of the policy is 18 months.

The company also said its current excess liability policy for claims between $5 million and $40 million remains unchanged.
