P.A.M. Reports First-Quarter Loss

P.A.M. Transportation Services posted a first-quarter loss compared with a profit in the year-ago period.

The truckload carrier reported a loss of almost $456,300, or 4 cents a share, compared with net income ofÌýclose toÌý$674,000, or 8 cents, a year earlier.

Revenue rose 4% to $100 million, Tontitown, Ark.-based P.A.M. said in a statement.

The carrier said that, as of the end of the first quarter, the average age of its tractors was 1.5 years.



P.A.M. Transportation Services is ranked No. 67 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
