New ATA Logo Salutes Century of Trucking
LEXANDRIA, Va. — American Trucking Associations unveiled a logo May 30 celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of the trucking industry.
The centennial design features a truck driving under the words “100 Years of Trucking.” Beneath the truck a small banner with the years 1903-2003 on it unfurls into a field of stars.
The logo commemorates a 1903 contest in New York City that is considered to have heralded the beginning of the motor carrier industry, ATA said.
