Meek Promoted to Celadon COO
Celadon Group said it promoted Eric Meek to chief operating officer and executive vice president, effective immediately.
Meek most recently was chief financial officer, treasurer and executive vice president for the Indianapolis-based carrier.
鈥淓ric鈥檚 well-deserved promotion to chief operating officer places the company鈥檚 day-to-day operations under smart, solid management,鈥 Celadon CEO Paul Will said in a statement.
鈥淲e believe Eric鈥檚 vision, leadership and financial acumen will serve the company well as we continue our long-term strategic goal of becoming the premier solution provider in the transportation and logistics industry,鈥 he said.
The company also announced it is separating the chief financial officer position into two positions, principal accounting officer and principal financial officer.
Bobby Peavler was promoted to principal accounting officer, and Leslie Tarble was promoted to principal financial officer.
