Gasoline Price Rises 20.3¢ in Past Two Weeks, Lundberg Survey Reports

Gasoline prices rose 20.3 cents in the past two weeks to $3.80 a gallon, while diesel rose 10 cents to $4.17, according to the latest Lundberg survey of filling stations released Sunday.

The gasoline average is 10.3 cents over a year ago and the average has increased 53.7 cents this year, according to the twice-monthly survey, which covered the period ended Friday.

Midgrade gasoline costs an average of $3.95 a gallon, and premium is $4.09, according to the survey.

Billings, Mont., had the lowest gasoline price among cities surveyed, at $3.23 a gallon, while Los Angeles was the highest, at $4.29, the survey said.



The Department of Energy released its pump prices Monday afternoon in Washington.
