Existing home sales rose in April to the highest level in five months, the National Association of Realtors said.

Sales jumped 7.6% to an annual rate of 5.77 million units, the group said in its monthly report.

The increase exceeded economists’ forecasts of a 5.62 million annual rate, Bloomberg reported.
