Con-way Inc. said the company defeated the Teamsters union's effort to organize workers at its Freight facility in Portland, Oregon, marking the latest defeat of labor organizing efforts at the less-than-truckload carrier.
“I want to thank our employees for the thorough and careful consideration they gave to this matter,"Con-way Freight President Joseph Dagnese said in a statement. "We continue to believe that our best path forward is one where we are focused on our customers, working directly with our employees to deliver a superior service experience.”
